Contracting temporary staff under the terms of Law 6.019/74 is the most economical, fast, practical and flexible staffing solution for seasonal demands, special projects, substituting personnel during vacations or leave of absence or other unforeseen circumstances.

Temporary Contracts
Contracts can be for periods up to 90 days, with extensions for additional periods of up to 90 days – for extensions, the Ministry of Labor must be notified.

In terms of costs, and in comparison with CLT (standard labor) contracts, temporary workers are exempt from the following payroll charges:
Contract termination fines (articles 22 and 479);
Social security contributions for Sesc, Sesi and Senac (3.3% of salary);
30-day prior notice at contract termination.
